Apprentice Day
Paul & Olley Painting Contractors Ltd came together with Berkeley Group Plc for an exciting collaboration event held at Oval Village in Lambeth, as part of the Lambeth-Made Contractors Challenge.
The event started with presentations from other respective companies, highlighting the opportunities that are offered. Following that, speed interviews were held, giving young people the chance to engage in 1-on-1 conversations with employers to better understand the roles available and to gain valuable feedback. The day wrapped up with a painting and decorating masterclass, where participants had the chance to meet the current P&O apprentices and try their hand at painting.
We work with Construction Youth Trust, a social mobility charity that inspires and enables young people to reach their full career potential by connecting them with employers and opportunities in construction and the built environment. We have hosted young people on site and run practical painting and decorating sessions with them. Through these connections, we have taken on painting and decorating apprentices – giving them career prospects and securing the future of our business.
